This is a new initiative in East Galway and its mission statement is to provide a guidance service that will enable adults to make informed educational choices in relation to their own innate abilities and talents.
Overview of Service / Programmes & Certification Offered
The East Galway Adult Guidance Service provides information advice and guidance to adults interested in returning to education and learning. Guidance provision is both on a one to one and group basis as required. Funded by the Further Education Section of the Department of Education & Science and supervised by the National Centre for Guidance in Education (NCGE)
Target Group:
- Adults attending V.T.O.S, Literacy and Adult and Community Education Programmes
- Adults who would benefit from help and support in taking the next step in education or learning.
This service is free, impartial and confidential.
This service will:
- Provide information on a range of educational opportunities.
- Offer advice and guidance on the most suitable options for you.
- Help with interview techniques and study skills.
- Outline the various grants available.
