Overview of Service / Programmes & Certification Offered
The Training Options and Personal Education (TOPE) programme is a three-year social and pre-vocational training programme designed to meet the needs of persons with learning difficulties.
Its purpose is to meet the needs of each individual participant with a view to developing their social inclusion and work opportunities, the emphasis will be on developing social, pre-vocational and life survival skills in an atmosphere conducive to learning.
The programme title “TOPE� embodies the aspirations of the programme team and invites participants, families, advocates, and health professionals to participate fully in this innovative community based experience.
The aims of the programme mirror the ethos and mission of the Organisation and incorporate many strategic responses to the identified needs of its participants. Identification of needs is determined through an individual programme plan and acknowledges the importance of advocacy as a medium of highlighting individual needs. The programme is approved to use the nationally recognised FETAC certification system that each participant can access. The integrated Assessment is another certifiable option available.
School leavers of a minimum age of 16 years are our target group.
Our client group all have a learning disability.
